Bookie Information▾
To get the most value from our tips, we recommend using the bookmakers that consistently offer the best promotions, liquidity and pricing.
Primary Bookmakers (Strongly Recommended)
These are the two most important platforms to have:
- —Sportsbet
- —TAB
Secondary Bookmakers (Optional but highly recommended)
If you're able to utilise more than two bookies, these can provide additional value and flexibility:
- —Ladbrokes
- —PointsBet
- —BetR
- —Bet365
Having access to multiple bookmakers allows for better odds comparison, improved bonus utilisation and more efficient retention strategies.
Expected Value (EV)▾
At KidCob, every pick, tip and multi is built around Expected Value (EV). EV is the foundation of long term profitability in betting.
Expected Value (EV) is a way of measuring whether a bet is worth placing over the long run.
In simple terms:
- —A bet has positive EV if the odds being offered are better than the true probability of the outcome
- —A bet has negative EV if the odds are worse than the true probability
You don't need to win every bet to be profitable, you just need to consistently place positive EV bets with the correct unit size. Over time, positive EV beats variance.
Our role at KidCob is to provide the best possible EV bets, whether as singles or multis. Before anything is sent, we assess market value, line movement, and pricing efficiency releasing only selections that meet our long term profitability criteria, making the job easy for you. Rock up, read the tips, place them, make money.
Bankroll▾
Your bankroll is your total betting capital, ie the full amount of money you've set aside purely for betting. For example, if your bankroll is $10,000, that means all balances across every bookmaker combine to equal $10,000. Your bankroll determines your stake sizes. Managing bets proportionally ensures you:
- —Don't overextend
- —Don't chase losses
- —Stay disciplined through winning and losing runs
The goal is long term profit, not short term wins. A properly managed bankroll allows you to stay in the game long enough for edges and analysis to play out, without emotional or reckless betting. When your bankroll is managed correctly under KCT, you shouldn't need to keep topping it up, as you're betting within your limits and protecting your capital, whilst making money.

Timing of Tips
Not seeing tips early does not mean nothing is coming, it usually means we are waiting for the best EV opportunity. Here, it is important that you trust that we are actively monitoring markets, we will release plays when the value is right and only post tips we think have the best chance to win. Sometimes, this may mean we do not put out tips for a race, regardless of if there is promotions.
Multiple Selections Per Race
At times, there may be multiple horses posted in the same race. When this happens ensure you are following the specific bookmaker listed, use the unit size provided and execute exactly as posted. Each selection is assessed independently, even if they appear in the same race.
Unit Betting▾
Unit betting is a staking system used to control stake sizes, manage risk and track performance accurately.
A unit represents a fixed percentage of your bankroll, typically between 1 & 3%. If you stake 2 units, you are betting 2% of your total bankroll.
For example, if 1 unit = $100, a 2 unit bet = $200, implying a total bankroll of $10,000 across all your bookmakers.
Using units keeps your betting structured, removes emotion from stake sizing and ensures results are measured consistently over time.
KCT recommends increasing unit sizes periodically, such as after meaningful bankroll increases. Units should never be adjusted based on short-term wins or losses, consistency and discipline come first.
